CS2 – Off-Season Roster Shuffles: Top Transfers So Far

The CS2 off-season is in full swing, and with the first Major of 2025 on the horizon, top organizations are wasting no time refreshing their lineups. From surprise moves to full rebuilds, the landscape heading into the new year is already shifting.

G2 Esports Resets with New Blood

After a turbulent year, G2 has opted for a partial rebuild centered around both raw talent and veteran presence. Guatemalan rifler malbsMd joined the squad in late summer, bringing aggressive firepower and a fresh mindset to the team’s entry role.

Joining him is Snax, the iconic Polish player and former Major winner, who returns to tier-one CS in a leadership and support role. G2 is clearly betting on the combination of rising skill and championship experience to turn their fortunes around.

Team Falcons Assemble a Superteam

No roster moves have drawn more attention than Team Falcons. Backed by significant investment, the organization pulled off a blockbuster signing with the addition of NiKo — one of the best riflers in CS history.

That was just the beginning. Falcons then secured three key players from the former HEROIC lineup: kyxsan, TeSeS, and degster. The result is a roster packed with individual talent and proven LAN performers, setting high expectations for 2025.

HEROIC Rebuilds with Hungry Recruits

Following the departure of several key figures, HEROIC moved quickly to restructure. The new lineup includes three players from the Sangal core — LNZ, yxngstxr, and xfl0ud — each with something to prove on the main stage.

They are joined by SunPayus, one of Europe’s more consistent AWPers, and rising CIS talent tN1R, who will likely take on entry duties. It’s a fresh start for HEROIC, and fans are curious to see if this new-look squad can recapture the team’s former consistency.

Complexity Adjusts After EliGE Exit

Over in North America, Complexity has also undergone changes. With EliGE departing for FaZe Clan in early January, Complexity brought in cxzi and nicx to bolster its rifling core.

The team now blends NA veterans with emerging talent, signaling a return to developmental focus as they prepare for qualifiers and the 2025 season circuit.
